CRIMES THAT CAN BE COMMITTED BY THE POLICE (PART II)

A Police Agent in Spain can also be prosecuted for her/his crimes, as already explained in a previous post. Here we can find two more examples of crimes that can be committed by the Police using this time real cases:

First Case.- 2018 conviction: an agent of the Bilbao municipal police was sentenced to one year in prison for a crime of injuries. He was also ordered to pay the costs and to compensate. He struck with the baton, without warning, two people who were arguing drunk.

Second Case.- Smmer of 2017 conviction: the Barcelona Provincial Court sentenced a Mosso d'esquadra (Catalonian regional Police) to 2 years in prison and 2 years of disqualification. He struck a young man on the head, wounding him on the ear with the truncheon.
