The money that you can carry in cash when you enter Spain

Let us remember and begin this brief post by saying that ignoring the law does not exempt you from its compliance.

The amount of money that you can carry with you has a limit. If it is exceeded, it must be notified to the Treasury. The law for the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism establishes the maximum amounts and indicates the procedures to be carried out if these are exceeded.

If the authorities stop the bearer of the money and verify that the amount has not been declared, all the money will be confiscated. To make matters worse, a sanctioning file with a possible fine will be initiated.
