Requirements for foreigners to set up their businesses in Spain

Foreigners in Spain in order to be able to set up their businesses they have to:

• Reside in Spain legally.

• Prove that the idea of the company has the capacity to create jobs and has economic interest for Spain.

• Be of age.

• Have no criminal record in the last five years.

• Do not appear as "rejectable" in Spain or in any country with which Spain has agreements.

• Have health insurance in our country.

• Prove that they have sufficient resources for their maintenance and accommodation, as well as having the necessary investment to start operating.

• Have the required training and experience necessary for the project.

• Comply with current regulations regarding the necessary opening requirements, depending on the type of business.
