What is it to be an "Intestate Heir"?
Intestate, is a legal term that is used to refer to an inheritance of a deceased who did not make a will or that is null, and for that reason her/his assets are granted to her/his closest relatives (up to the fourth generation).
In Spain, the processing of the declaration of intestate heirs, when there is no will, it is of the exclusive competence of Notaries.
